Collecting on Artfinder – art your way

J.W. Waterhouse, The Soul of the Rose (1908), and Keira Knightley in Atonement (2007).

Here at Artfinder we believe that art should be available to everyone. Yes, everyone – that includes YOU. So what if you’re really into fashion, or you’ve got a thing for film? Not a problem. At Artfinder we’ve got thousands of images, so many in fact that you’re guaranteed to find art that could have been made for you. The possibilities are endless!

When you find an artwork you like you can click on the Collect icon  above it and it gets added to your favourites. If you visit your profile page, or click My Gallery at the top of the page you can see all your favourites. But don’t stop there! You can then create new, named collections and drag items from your favourites into them.

So what sort of things can you collect? If you’re into the latest fashion trends then have a look at this collection inspired by this year’s Autumn/Winter trends: chokers and geometric patterns? Yes please.

Gustav Klimt, Judith (1901), and John French, Model in Photographic Studio (1960s)

Film? Chances are, if a painting’s been featured in a film, we have it here. And to get you started we’ve already compiled a series of paintings from the movies:

Georges Seurat, Study for Sunday Afternoon on La Grande Jatte (1884). On a school trip to the Art Institute of Chicago, character Cameron tries to find himself in front of this painting in 80s comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

When it comes to music we’ve got it covered, from thousands of paintings celebrating music to album sleeve artwork:

Ferdinand Victor Eugène Delacrois, Liberty Leading the People, 28 July 1830 (1830). This painting was the cover artwork for Coldplay's 2008 album Viva La Vida. Coldplay were so into Delacroix’s vision of revolution they even tried to recreate its textures for their “band inside a painting” Viva La Vida video.

What we’re trying to say is that no matter your tastes – from riots and revolutions to soaking in a bath, there’s always the art to suit your interests at Artfinder. Collect art your way.
