Artfinder has just launched its new free app for iPhone and iPod touch - and we’re very excited. It’s going to help you find more museums and galleries near you, find out exactly which exhibitions are on, and give you beautiful visual previews so you can easily choose what you want to visit.
What can you do with the app?
- Browse exhibitions in your city: see visual highlights, get interesting insights and tips, buy tickets and get vital visitor information. Tell us if you’re interested and if you’re signed up we’ll email you to you remind you when it’s about to end so you don’t miss out.
- Use the map to find art near you: discover new galleries round the corner you never knew existed. And see highlights from their permanent collections and exhibitions.
- Snap some art: Take a photo of a painting in a gallery and our Art Robot will match it to our database using image recognition technology. We’ll tell you all you need to know (and if we don’t recognise it, help our Robot out!)
- Save your art: All the exhibitions and galleries you’re interested in, as well as the art you’ve snapped, are saved in one place so you can come back to them later. It’s your art world, after all.
